Programs
Farmers Market
SCF-OC’s initial program is the Garden Grove International Certified Farmer’s Market which has been in operation since August 2006 on Garden Grove’s Historic Main Street. The GGICFM is fully certified by the California Department of Agriculture and features an eclectic mix of healthy, ethnic foods and certified growers of fruits, vegetables, flowers, nuts, and other agricultural products. GGICFM draws upon the diversity of the surrounding community and provides a venue for fresh, affordable, ethnic produce and ready to eat foods. Although GGICFM has been inactive for the past year, we are in hopes of revamping and bringing back this program very soon to the community. So please stay tuned for updates!
Community Events
- Voter Registration Drive
The Sustainable Community Foundation of Orange County (SCF-OC) along with the Korean American Coalition of Los Angeles (KACLA) and the Statesman Foundation, all 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations, are launching a Voter Registration Drive campaign in the Korean American community of Orange County. By empowering members through voting power, the Korean American people can have a stronger collective voice with the Orange County. Our campaign’s goals are to provide convenient and approachable access to the voting process as well as to increase voter participation through registration. We hope to do this by bringing resources to register to local churches and markets in the area. Look for us around your neighborhood! |
